Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Silk Stitches Bridal Couture booking and client platform at app.silkstitches.co.za (the “Platform”) and the styling services we provide (the “Services”). By creating a booking or an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

The Platform and Services are provided by Silk Stitches Bridal Couture [registered name and registration number], with boutiques in Fourways, Johannesburg and Moreleta Park, Pretoria. You can reach us at info@silkstitches.co.za.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create a booking or account. By doing so, you confirm that you are.

3. Bookings and appointments

You can request consultations and fittings through the Platform. A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it and, where a fitting fee or deposit applies, once payment has been verified. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred stylist and times, but slots are subject to availability.

4. Fees and payment

Fitting fees, deposits, and the price of hiring or purchasing a garment are as we quote to you at the time. Payment is by bank transfer (EFT / BACS); we do not take card payments through the Platform. You send us proof of payment, and we verify it before your booking or order proceeds. All amounts are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. [Confirm your fee, deposit, and VAT terms with your advisor.]

5. Changes, cancellations, and refunds

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please tell us as early as you can. This clause does not affect any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

6. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information, and keep your account details up to date.
• Keep your sign-in secure and do not share it.
• Only upload images and content you have the right to share.
• Treat our team and boutiques with respect; we ask the same of ourselves toward you.

7. Garments — hire and purchase

Where you hire a garment, it remains ours and must be returned in the agreed condition and by the agreed date; you are responsible for loss or damage beyond fair wear. Where you purchase a garment, ownership passes to you once it is paid for in full. Specific hire and purchase terms are provided with your order. 8. Intellectual property

The Platform, our brand, designs, and content belong to Silk Stitches or our licensors. You keep ownership of the images and content you upload, and you grant us permission to use them only to provide the Services to you (and, separately and only with your consent, for marketing).

9. Availability of the Platform

We aim to keep the Platform available and working, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may occasionally need to suspend it for maintenance.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from the Services is limited to the fees you have paid us for the booking or order concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. [This clause must be reviewed by your advisor.]

11. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms
